Padlocks
The locking bar of the anchor+ must be secured using at least 1 high security padlock
There are very few high security padlocks on the market, so please be extremely careful when making your choice. Ideally the padlock that you choose should have earned the same Sold Secure Gold approval that the anchor+ has.
The SBE13 from Mul-T-Lock
Our research has concluded that one of the best locks available is the SBE13 from Mul-T-Lock. This lock was developed for use in critical applications, such as hospitals and fuel storage depots.
The materials used in its construction have been selected to withstand the most determined attack and the advanced key geometry makes duplication practically impossible. The information required to re-produce the key for an SBE13 is so specialised that each one is supplied with a unique electronic identification card.
The locking bolt of the SBE13 is 13mm in diameter. Most other padlocks stop at 12mm.
The SBE13 is completely serviceable and will last a lifetime. The SBE13 costs more than the average padlock but cheaper padlocks are a false economy since they are often unreliable and far less secure. If you aim to buy a cheap padlock it is worth remembering that a lock that costs you £25 probably costs about £6 to produce. Can you really put your faith in such a low value product?

Choose a high quality padlock
We highly recommend that you choose the highest quality padlock that you can afford. The anchor+ is a high specification, high security device. It is a formidable opponent for any criminal, however it is only as good as the padlock that you fit, so please make the correct choice.
